Legitimate and Live Theatrical Roster Intake Procedures

TWU Local 784 primarily accepts resumes during the period of July 1st thru July 31st. 

Applicants must be:

• 18 years of age or older
• A legal resident of the United States.
• A resident for the last 18 months in Local 784’s jurisdiction (which is San Francisco and vicinity, including a 50-mile radius of San Francisco).

Resumes MUST include all the below:

• Work in the geographical jurisdiction for at least 6 months within the last 5 years. 

• Five theatrical wardrobe work histories where length of job was not less than one week or eight performances. Minimum of 3 backstage.

• Three Theatrical work related references.

Beneficial: professional theatrical sewing experience or theatrical costume educational background.

The Intake & Education Committee will review resumes and select applicants based on the criteria set forth above. Such applicants will be invited to a written exam (on theatrical, wardrobe and sewing terminology) and creation of a sewing sampler. A grade of 75% or better is required to pass the exam. 

Applicants who meet the above criteria and pay a $150.00 processing fee will be eligible for dispatch.
