Legitimate and Live Theatrical Roster Intake Procedures

TWU Local 784 primarily accepts resumes during the period of July 1st thru July 31st. All resumes submitted at any other time are held until additional staffing needs require an additional intake period.

Applicants must be:

• 18 years of age or older
• A legal resident of the United States.
• A resident for at least 18 months in Local 784’s jurisdiction (which is San Francisco and vicinity, including a 50-mile radius of San Francisco).

Resumes must include:

• Work in the geographical jurisdiction for at least 6 months.

• Five theatrical wardrobe work histories where length of job was not less than one week or eight performances.

• Three work related references.

Beneficial: professional theatrical sewing experience or theatrical costume educational background.

The Business Agent will review resumes and select applicants based on the criteria set forth above. Such applicants will be invited to a 4-hour orientation including but not limited to basic union orientation, a written exam (on theatrical, wardrobe and sewing terminology) and creation of a sewing sampler. A grade of 75% or better is required to pass the exam. The sampler is to be finished within 45 minutes.

Applicants who meet the above criteria and pay a $75.00 processing fee will be eligible for dispatch.
